Siam Lemongrass has a refreshing, pungent citrus scent with hay-like top notes and grassy undertones. As well as boasting antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties it is also mildly astringent, making it useful as a skin-cleansing agent that can help to control oily skin and reduce acne and blemishes. Lemongrass has long been used in traditional Thai herbal treatments for its ability to uplift and energize, and to soothe headaches and tired, stiff muscles. It is also an effective natural insecticide. Combines well with most citruses and florals including orange, ylang ylang and lavender.
